About

Data Points is where Adriana Beal shares her insights into how businesses can leverage their data to make better decisions.

If your company has little to show as results from its data initiatives, don't blame the data, blame the lack of vision of the people in charge of deciding what, when, and how data is collected and used to generate insights.

Born and raised in Brazil, Adriana worked in the U.S.A. from 2005 to 2024 helping innovation companies, Fortune 100 companies, and startups adopt an evidence-based approach to product management and operational business decisions. She now lives in France.

Adriana has designed a variety of machine learning models to improve operations and decision processes in IoT, mobility, healthcare, customer science, human services, energy distribution, and more. Adriana has a degree in Electric Engineering and an MBA in Strategic Management of Information from two top graduate schools in Brazil and two IT strategy books published in her native country. Prior to becoming a U.S. citizen, she was granted an O-1 (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) visa from the American government. She has a certificate in Big Data / Advanced Analytics from the University of Texas and is frequently invited to speak at events sponsored by professional organizations like IIBA and IEEE. Her work has been internationally published by IEEE and IGI Global.
